Terms and Conditions

Please read these conditions carefully and retain for future reference as they form part of the contract between us. A contract exists once you have submitted your booking form and we have confirmed the booking and received payment of your deposit.

Tour & Ride Holiday Accommodation. We provide accommodation in twin, triple and single rooms, some of which are en-suite. Prices are per person and are based on a shared room. If you are travelling alone and are willing to share a room (with a person of the same sex) subject to a share being found no supplement is payable, if you wish to have a room to yourself a supplement of 200 GBP is payable and will be included on your booking schedule. We also provide storage for your bikes/sports equipment in the garage at our accommodation.  All such equipment must be stored in the garage and is not permitted in the accommodation.  Bikes and other items left in the garage are left at your own risk, we do not accept liability for any damage to or theft of items left in our accommodation which includes the garage.

Cost. Our prices include the basic cost of accommodation. Some of our holidays also include breakfast, packed lunch, afternoon pasta or massage, please read your booking schedule which will set out for you all that is included in the cost of your holiday. 

Holiday Rentals and Third Party Accommodation  In addition to our own property we also arrange holidays at other accommodation including apartments, chalets and hotels.  In such cases we may not be responsible for the allocation of rooms or the maintenance of the property, if any problem or complaint should arise please notify us immediately and although we cannot take responsibility for any such matters we will immediately pass on your concerns to the appropriate person.  Where appropriate we shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times on reasonable notice for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.  Apartment rentals commence between 4 - 7pm on the day of arrival and end at 10am on the day of departure.  Please observe these times as access to the property will not be possible outside of them.  The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated on your booking schedule and we reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.  You agree to take all reasonable care of the property and its furniture and fittings and to leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.  You will be responsible for the cost of any damages, breakages, losses and any extra cleaning or repair costs which are incurred due to non-compliance with this condition.  Enjoy Oisans will make a deduction from your security deposit to cover any such costs.

Booking and Payment. Please make your booking by following the on-line instructions. The person making the booking guarantees payment to us of the total cost of the holiday booked and does so on behalf and with the consent of all others for whom the booking is made. Payment of a 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. Please note that the balance is due in full 10 weeks before your arrival date. If you are booking within 10 weeks of your arrival date payment in full is due on booking. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will be considered a cancellation on your part and we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges.

Changes to your booking. In the event that you need to change your booking please notify us at your earliest opportunity, wherever possible we will try to accommodate changes and issue a new booking schedule subject to an administration fee of 50.00 GBP. If we are unable to accommodate the change and you cancel your booking then cancellation charges will apply. We also reserve the right to add to the price of any booking a Tour de France supplement should the event come to town during the period of a booking to which no supplement was made at the time of booking.  In the event that we have to make a change to your booking (e.g. by reason of the unexpected withdrawal of a Property by the owner or it suffering damage requiring repair) we will endeavour to make a suitable alternative booking at another property.  If it is not possible to find an alternative, we will refund all sums paid by you and this will be the only obligation or liability of enjoy oisans to you in such circumstances.

Cancellation charges. Subject to these terms and conditions if we cancel your booking we will do so in writing and refund to you all monies paid to us. If you wish to cancel a booking of seven days or more with us you must do so in writing. Notice of cancellation is subject to an administration fee of 50.00 GBP. Charges for the cancellation of your booking are as follows: notification received + 10 weeks to arrival date loss of deposit, 8-10 weeks 40% of the holiday cost is due, 6-8 weeks 60% of the holiday cost is due, 4-6 weeks 80% of the holiday cost is due, 0-4 weeks 100% of the holiday cost is due and no refund can be made.  If you have cancelled a booking because of genuine medical reasons/personal tragedy it may be possible to recover the cancellation costs from your Insurer.  Unfortunately we are not able to offer any refund on stays of less than seven days.  Please note that where a reservation is defined as a Room Booking, no refunds can be made once full payment has been received.

Weather and Force Majeure. We ride in the mountains where weather conditions can be unpredictable. We cannot give refunds if weather conditions are unfavourable. Neither will we give refunds if we have to cancel or change your holiday arrangements in any way because of war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may amount to force majeure.

Age Restrictions. Bookings can only be accepted by persons over 18 years.

Insurance. Cycling can be dangerous and all clients are required to be covered by an appropriate insurance policy. You will need to provide us with a copy of your insurance certificate before you are able to ride with us. We recommend that your insurance is taken out at the time of booking.

Ability. We assume that clients have a good understanding of their own abilities and we will discuss with you on arrival a suitable programme of rides but clients must make their own judgements as to their ability and ride entirely at their own risk even when on accompanied rides.

Transfers and Guides. Our airport transfers and programme of rides may include uplifts and travel in our vehicles. Clients travel in our vehicles at their own risk and we cannot accept liability for injury or damage to your equipment including your bikes. The guiding qualifications held by our UK guides are not currently recognised by the French Authorities and so we do not charge for guiding services.  We are however happy to accompany on marked trail rides free of charge. We are also happy to offer advice on suggested routes and itineraries. Accompanied rides and vehicle support are included free of charge and no refunds will be given if for some reason we are unable to offer those services.

Data Storage. Your personal contact details will be stored electronically. If you do not agree with this, please cancel your order now, and enter by post. No credit card/debit card/PayPal details are stored with enjoy oisans. Your details will only be used by us, they will not be passed to any third party.

Disputes. We will strive to make your holiday enjoyable, but in the event that you are unhappy with any aspect of it you should speak to us about any problem as it arises in order that we can try to resolve it. Any formal complaint must be in writing and received within 10 days of your departure date. We will make every effort to resolve all complaints but should the matter be referred to court then these terms and conditions will be referred to. Any dispute arising will be dealt with by a court in England and Wales and not in the country where the holiday took place.

In order to book a holiday with us you must indicate that you have read and accept these terms and conditions. If you do not accept them then you are free not to book with us.
